Temple Celebration

I just returned from watching the Temple celebration that James and Kenzie have been involved in. The performance was outstanding. For the last 3 months they have spent one day every week and twice a week during May working to learn the dance (Kenzie) and the songs (James) for this once in a lifetime celebration. All their hard work paid off. It was beautiful ceremony filled with wonderful music and dancing. I was very impressed by the dedication of the youth and emotionally touched by the spirit through the meeting. This is truly a blessed time

"Come to the mountain of the Lord, With your banner shield and sword, To feel the power of truth restored, Come to the mountain of the Lord. Set like a light upon a hill, the ancient promise is fulfilled, Come climb the mount with flags unfurled, Bring every soul in the world, to feel the power of truth restored, Come to the mountain of the lord, Up to the mountain of the Lord."

Pictures of L

I've been trying for a while now to take pictures of Livi. I spent this morning taking and editing pictures. Here are a few.
She wasn't too happy about being up in a tree in her dress, but it sure doesn't show on her face.
I plan on printing some for my wall, I'm not sure which one I'll choose. I think I'll wait until after I take pictures of the rest of the family.

Memorial Day

I just wanted to take a moment today to remember my father, my grandfathers, my uncles and my friends, all the wonderful men and women I've never met and all of those who sacrificed so much, even their lives for the freedom and happiness of our country. Thank you to each and everyone one of you. My life is what it is today because of your service. I love you!

Well my kids have been busy again. Busy being good and getting noticed by their teachers. Kenzie was just awarded the Student of the Month for April at her middle school. As student of the month is honored for being :...respectful of the property and rights of others. Strives to do things in a better way. Bases decisions on principle, not emotion. Leads out in setting a good example for others to follow.Follows the rules of conduct. Does his or her best in academic achievement." We are very proud of Kenzie and all the hard work she does.

Cami was also recognized this week for her hard work in elementary. She received the star student for her willingness to participate, her excellent comprehension and her "awesome" job at understanding "The Westing Game". We too are very proud of Cami and all the hard work she has put into school this year. She has adapted well in the ALPS program.

Way to go girls!
